Additional information
Accesibility
We welcome everyone at Doe Meadow Cottages. Due to the layout of the cottages we are unable to provide a downstairs bedroom or accomodate guests that are unable to manage stairs. If you have any specific requests or questions that you would like to discuss with us please call or email.
Dogs Policy
Outdoors
Please keep dogs on a lead in the vicinity of the cottages. Whilst most people are comfortable with dogs, some are not used to them and children can be scared.
We do supply small disposable bags to clear up after your dog- there is a bin marked 'dog waste' in the yard.
We are surrounded by livestock of various kinds-please keep your dog under control at all times.
Indoors
Please do not leave dogs on their own in the cottages-a strange place may be stressful for the dog who might cause some damage and disturbance to other guests. We are happy to dog sit so please ask if you wish to go out without your canine companions.
Please keep dogs downstairs during your stay, and off furniture and beds for hygiene reasons.
We can supply dog beds, bedding, crates, food and bowls on request.
An experienced dog handler is available for individual training by appointment.
Green Initiatives
Doe Meadow has a commitment to green initiatives. A ground source heat pump has been installed which supplies the cottage with underfloor heating. A feasibility study has established the potential to install a mini hydroelectic scheme. Recycle, renovate, reclaim and restore are the principals upon which this exciting development has been based.
